Situated in the iconic Art Deco National Tobacco Building, Ahuriri, Tony Bish Wines is Australasia's first producer dedicated solely to Chardonnay. The winery, colloquially called The Urban Winery, is part of the Hawke's Bay Wine trail.
A family owned and run business, Tony and Oscar Bish craft premium Chardonnays in varying styles from the prized Hawke's Bay grapes. Tony's passion for innovation and excellence has led him to pioneer vessels such as the concrete egg-shaped fermenters for his signature Golden Egg Chardonnay and one of a handful of OVUMs in the world brought about ZEN Chardonay.
The cellar door is open to the public Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays 12-6pm, or by appointment when available. The team also run special events outwith these time - follow their digital media for details.
