The Napier Triathlon Festival is your ultimate summer family sporting event!
Whether you are a serious triathlete looking to qualify for the World Triathlon Sprint Distance Championships, or a beginner looking for a fun summer challenge with your friends and family, we have the race for you!
In 2026, the Napier Triathlon Festival will be hosting the Napier Sprint (750m Swim, 20km Cycle, 5km Run), Sprint Paratri (for all Paraplegic athletes), Tri-er (300m Swim, 10km Cycle, 2.5km Run) and Tri-er Paratri.
The Napier Sprint Distance Race is a part of the Tri NZ Suzuki Series Sprint Distance Championships, and is your ONLY opportunity to qualify for the World Triathlon Sprint Distance Championship being held in Pontevedra in 2026. However, anyone is welcome to enter into the Napier Sprint distance race just for fun too.
Does the Sprint Distance sound like too much? The new Tri-er category is perfect for you. With the options to skip the swim or enter with an E-Bike, anyone can be a Tri-er!
